Profile - Kim Nichols (McAdam)
Kim is one of the few westerners world-wide that has
studied the ancient Japanese landscaping scrolls – The Sakuteiki.
She has turned her lifelong passion for all things Japanese and oriental,
her solid background in design and her strong creative skills into a unique
business.
Since launching the company in 1999 she has dedicated herself to enlightening
the public about Japanese gardens.

Her gardens are regularly seen at high profile
public exhibitions such as Gardenex, Eastgate Flower & Garden
Show, Sandton City, Homemakers Fair at Northgate Dome, and so on.
Each year she exhibits a centrepiece show garden at the annual SAKKA
(South African Koi Keepers Association) Fair.

Lecturing on Japanese gardens at various public
shows and gatherings, including lectures to the Johannesburg Horticultural
Society and at various exhibitions, well-known nurseries and garden
centres.

Her determined efforts to inform the general public about the art of Japanese
landscaping has resulted in her having enquiries regarding her work from
as far afield as Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
She has designed and created Japanese gardens for many high profile South
African clients.
